WellSpan Health, a sophisticated medical community in south central Pennsylvania, is seeking a fulltime Palliative Care physician. The successful candidate will help staff two new clinics and York Hospital.
About the Position
- Fulltime employed position with WellSpan Medical Group (WMG)
- WMG currently employs 2,000+ providers
- Candidates with fellowship training in Hospice & Palliative Care are preferred
- Two new outpatient clinics will be an “embedded model” to promote patient access
- Clinics are located at the new WellSpan Cancer Center & Community Health Center
- York Hospital is a 600-bed level one trauma center with 8 residency programs
- WellSpan’s entire system utilizes EPIC
- Physician will report to the Medical Director of Palliative Care
- Palliative care CRNPs and RN Care Coordinator round out the clinic staff
- Large referral base of WMG primary care and specialty providers
- Multidisciplinary team strives to avoid hospital admissions during last months of life
- Excellent support from WMG leadership and an experienced Practice Manager
