General Summary:

Under the general supervision of the Clinical Nursing Coordinator and/or the Practice Manager, provides safe, therapeutic and efficient care and services to patients. Functions as a member of the health care team at an intermediate nursing level to assist in the planning and implementation of patient care based upon sound nursing judgment, clinical preparation, knowledge, skills and experience. Nursing care is provided in accordance with the provisions of the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing. In addition, serves as a nursing resource for clinical staff and may serve as the key clinical contact in the absence of the Clinical Coordinator or Clinical Team Lead by providing support for clinical staff scheduling and competency oversight of clinicians.

Work Schedule:

Full time: Monday- Friday 8am-4:30pm. 


Duties and Responsibilities:

Medical Assistants who are a part of the Occupational Health team will be required to complete many duties. These duties include, but are not limited to:

  • DOT / Non-DOT Testing
  • Certified drug and alcohol screening (training will be provided)
  • Vaccine administration
  • Injury care
  • Audiograms
  • Spirometry
  • Blood draws
  • EKGs 
Required Skills
  • Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with a 4-6 week clinically focused externship/internship in a physician office setting
  • BCLS Certification required 
  • Must obtain MA certification within 90 days
Required Experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Models team work
  • Excellent customer service
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Self motivated with the capability to work independently
  • Highly dependable
  • BCLS certification preferred but not required
  • Strong computer skills
