General Summary:



Under the general supervision of the Director-Patient Financial Services (PFS), directs, plans, organizes and controls the activities and functions related to denials management; supports the PFS financial reporting needs/functions and provides PFS operational oversight as needed.


Duties and Responsibilities:


1 Provides direct supervision of the PFS Denials Analysts and others within the corporate denials management team.
2 Provides oversight and guidance to all denials-related functions/activities/staff including the Denials Performance Council and others within the corporate denials management team.
3 Ensures quarterly submission of VHA data and provides internal dashboards for all System entities. Coordinates delivery of the corporate response to all VHA inquiries.
4 Supports PFS operations by providing necessary reports related to payer performance, Accounts Receivable (AR) analysis and any other areas as needed.
5 Assists with AR analysis and completion of performance indicators for all System entities as needed.
6 Provides special report writing support as needed, including but not limited to, RCO. Provides report writing training as needed.
7 Participates on and supports the activities of the Accounts Issues (AI) team, the AR Team and other PFS teams as needed.
8 Assists with system conversion activities as needed.
9 Provides PFS operational supervision (in absence of Director) as needed.

Required Experience

Minimum Field of Expertise:          


Accounting; business administration



Preferred Certification/Registration:          


Certified Revenue Cycle Professional (CRCP)
