Position Summary:

 

General Summary:
Under the general supervision of the Director-HRIS/Payroll/Records, manages the daily operation of the HR Information Systems (HRIS), including the maintenance of all aspects of all the existing HRIS systems, processes, configuration, data integrity, system testing and upgrades. Analyzes data flows for process improvement opportunities and leads system related projects. Collaborates with the Director to provide technical expertise as the HRIS subject matter expert on cross-functional projects. Collaborates with the Director on the analysis, design, development and implementation of new features and enhanced functionality in HR systems. Provides appropriate end user training.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1 Provides daily supervision for the HRIS support staff in problem solving, setting priorities, and other operational matters.
2 As a working team member, continues to contribute to meet the reporting needs and requirements of the organization.
3 Responds to customer and staff needs, complex problems, etc. as necessary or requested.
4 Provides technical guidance and assistance to project staff and users.
5 Suggests improvements to processes and is a knowledge resource for other team members.
6 Assists the Director in formulating project objectives, plans and system development requirements.
7 Monitor key HR metrics.
8 Collaborates with the Director and IT on production support, security configuration and documentation, reporting and troubleshooting.
9 Keeps the Director apprised of project progress, problems and need for changes.
10 Interacts and collaborates with IT and Infor Support on issues and resolution.
11 Acts as liaison between appropriate groups/individuals.
12 Ensures all HRIS processes and procedures are documented and updated as necessary.

 

Required Skills

Bachelor's Degree

Minimum Experience         

 5-8+ years of progressive HRIS experience, Lawson Highly preferred

5-8 years supervisory experience in a highly matrixed environment

Advanced ERP application proficiency, Lawson Highly preferred

Project Management Experience

Business, Management Information Systems or equivalent

 

Project Management Professional (PMP) or Human Resources Information Professional (HRIP) or equivalent from respected associations or programs preferred

Excellent interpersonal/communication skills; expert computer and report writing skills;Proficient in the use of advanced report writing tools and logic (SQL, Crystal, SQL Mgmt. Studio, TOAD, etc.)HR system integration experience
