Lead Mammographer

Mobile Mammography Unit

*Will require driving - will pay to get CDL Class B*

*Will Start  and End Day at WellSpan Surgery and Rehab Center - 55 Monument Road, York PA*

Will Travel to 5 Counties

Full Time ( 80 hours/2 weeks)

Monday - Friday, Some Weekends



General Summary:


Under the general supervision of the department supervisor and the direction of the Radiologist, performs routine and special mammography procedures at an advanced specialist skills and knowledge level according to established practices and procedures.


Duties and Responsibilities:


Performs mammography studies; obtains patient history; explains routine procedures and addresses patient concerns.
Oversees the work of other personnel by training, allocating and monitoring work.  Performs work of a similar nature.
Under the direction of a Team Leader, is responsible for training other technicians/technologists, certifying that techs meet competencies.
Maintains department quality assurance program.
Positions patients safely and comfortably and explains basic procedure.
Prepares and maintains written documentation as required by the profession and the department.
Schedules cases to coordinate with other patient examinations.
Performs the duties of Radiographer as needed.

Required Skills

Associate's Degree from an Accredited program in radiologic technology and training in mammography procedures
ARRT with mammography certification;Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Required Experience

5 years or more mammography experience required
