 General Summary:

Under the general supervision of the appropriate Team Leader/Division Manager performing transcription, front desk duties and retrieval/send out case material. Routinely obtains and disseminates patient information appropriately. York, PA Tracking Code:

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Responsible for daily operations of assigned area.

2. Performs duties of a Lab Tech II.

3. Performs a variety of duties at progressively greater skill levels under varying degrees of supervision.

4. Excellent phone etiquette.

5. Accurate/precise transcription of Pathology reports.

6. Must be organized and manage time efficiently.

7. Work with the EPIC system for patient results.

8. Transcribe reports from Editscript.

9. Report scanning.

10. Block and slide retrieval.



Required Skills
  •  1-2 years of transcription experience
  • Medical Terminology
  • Excellent communication and computer skills
  • Must have valid driver’s license in the current state of residence. Driving record must meet requirements established by Wellspan Risk Management.
