General Summary:

 

Under general supervision, performs duties related to learning solutions and technologies, such as planning, analysis, design, development and evaluation. Performs instructional design for a variety of organizational clients and applications.  Share current options available to trainers, educators, clinical and non-clinical customers and/or other stakeholders of System regarding possible learning technologies and methodologies. Supports the learning process and IT Infrastructure in order to enhance the use of learning technologies within instructor-led, online, and virtual solutions. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Conducts needs assessments, designs, and develops appropriate learning plans, and strategies for Learning Solutions and Technologies.
  2. Works cooperatively with necessary stakeholders to support implementing various learning technologies within the identified Learning Management System.
  3. Applies business, project management and client relationship skills to managing instructional design projects.  
  4. Creates designs, concepts and sample layouts based on knowledge of layout principles and esthetic design concepts.
  5. Facilitates the planning, development, design, implementation and evaluation of departmental or entity education programs on topics including but not limited to Information Technology/Applications, Human Resource Development, Leadership Development and Clinical. May recommend non-training approaches. 
  6. Familiarity with a range of learning technologies and their application in supporting synchronous, asynchronous, and self-service training and learning.
  7. Manages communications with project teams and other stakeholders. 
  8. Develops training using approved authoring tools and methods.
  9. Performs quality control to ensure accuracy, including evaluating, testing and editing deliverables after they are drafted or completed. 
  10. Performs reviews with a high level of detail.

 

 

 

Required Skills

 

  • Other Strong background in Adult Learning Theory (ADDIE)
  • Levels of Evaluation- Bachelor Degree
  • Instructional Systems Design (ISD)
  • Familiarity with a range of educational technologies and their application in supporting synchronous, asynchronous, and self-directed teaching and learning. (Captivate, Camtasia, Adobe Connect, PollEverywhere, and so on)
  • Expert in Desktop applications
  • Knowledge of SCORM, HTML and LMS preferred 
  • Strong project management and educational consulting background (with clients and educational peers),
  • Experience designing training for a wide range of training topics- technical (clinical and IT) and soft skills (HR development/Leadership development).
  • Familiarity with Human Performance Improvement to be able to triage/recommend non-training solutions.
  • Able to lead complex, multifaceted learning solution design and development projects, Proficient in multiple platforms and desktop applications;
  • Strong communication, project management, and leadership skills.
  • Perform quality control including evaluating, testing and editing deliverables after they are drafted or completed. Strong attention to detail a must
