Position Summary:

General Summary:
Under the general supervision of the Regional Human Resources Director, partners with business units within the market to support effective human resources management..

Duties and Responsibilities:

1 Supports initiatives within the Market People Strategy Plans.
2 Engages employees to discuss work related concerns and works with employees and appropriate management members on resolution.
3 Supports actions to drive a highly engaged workforce within the market.
4 Acts as a liaison between business unit leadership and entity and corporate Human Resources.
5 Effectively navigates HRIS and related systems including educating, coaching and supporting managers and employees. Supports the Regional Director on pulling and analyzing data, reports, etc..
6 Coordinates Unemployment Compensation (UC) processes including accurate and timely completion of UC information requests; working with TPA and/or legal counsel to prepare for UC matters; attends UC hearings.
7 Provides Human Resources policy interpretation and guidance to managers and employees.
8 Meets with employees to complete Forgivable Loan paperwork as needed.
9 Schedules and arranges focus groups, employee roundtables, training and meetings, as requested.
10 May provide support for preparation of Human Resources information, which may include, but is not limited to, survey preparation, new hire preparation, orientation assistance, etc.
11 Directly supports and coordinates employee recognition events.
12 Coordinates special initiatives, events, projects and administrative work.


Required Skills

Must have Bachelor's Degree

4 years of professional level Human Resources Generalist or equivalent experience.  Direct employee relations, conflict resolution and employee engagement initiatives strongly preferred.


Ideal candidates have PHR/SPHR certification.




Required Experience


Candidates will need to show Strong analytical, advanced level problem solving, communication, and presentation skills. Must be proficient in ERP, computer skills. Will need to have a working knowledge or direct experience with Federal/State regulatory agencies (NLRB, EEOC, and Unemployment Compensation), recruitment/employment, compensation, benefits, wage and hour regulations and practices.
