Family Medicine Residency Program Director

WellSpan Health is seeking a strong leader with academic and clinical acumen to build a new, unopposed family medicine residency program based in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania. This is a unique opportunity to build an innovative program from the ground-up with the backing of an integrated health system with two other FM residency programs. The position will include leadership, administrative, teaching, scholarly, and patient care responsibilities, with authority and accountability for the overall program.
Position Highlights
- ACGME application submitted February 2023
- Lead the interview, selection and ongoing mentoring and development of faculty physicians, residents, and staff
- Develop high-quality educational curriculum and experiential rotations per ACGME requirements
- Participate in Institutional Governance of Graduate Medical Education (GME)
- Liaison Roles within WellSpan– Clinical, Administrative, and Academic for scholarly pursuits
- 0.6 Administrative/ 0.4 Patient Care; OB not required for this role
- Must be board certified ABFM or AOBFM
- Minimum of 5 years as family medicine residency core faculty
- Minimum of 2 years as family medicine residency program director or associate program director or NIPDD or LEADS fellowship
