WellSpan Good Samaritan Hospital in central Pennsylvania is seeking a full-time Associate Program Director for our 7-7-7 community hospital residency. Our Family Medicine Residency Program has maintained a 30-year long tradition in excellence in education. The current program is fully accredited by ACGME along with Osteopathic Recognition. Position Highlights
- Provide and role model excellence in patient care, education, administration, and scholarly activity
- Participate in: Institutional Governance of GME, ACGME Accreditation (or other Accreditation, if applicable), Educational and Administrative Oversight of the Program, Recruitment of Incoming Residents, Liaison Roles – Clinical, Administrative, Academic
- APD will be required to do some patient care and clinical teaching other than outpatient such as Inpatient teaching service, FM care at OB/Maternity Care and FM care to patients at SNF
- Must be employed in full-time status with approximately:
- 3 half-day sessions allocated to personal patient panel (outpatient)
- 3 half-day session allocated to resident clinical education/precepting
- 4 half-day sessions per week on average to administrative effort
- Must be board certified ABFM or AOBFM and be able to obtain a PA license
- Ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years as family medicine residency core faculty
