Job Description:

Under minimal supervision of the Supervisor/Foreman or others assigned, works with full competency in at least one of the essential job accountability categories. The qualified Craftsman should also possess a basic understanding with some working knowledge for duties represented under the remaining essential job accountability categories.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Fosters teamwork and works as one.
  2. Exhibits positive character and a strong a work ethic.
  3. Follows established policies and procedures, objectives, quality assessment and safety standards.
  4. Keeps work areas clean, safe, and orderly. Ensures proper care in the use of equipment and supplies.
  5. Provides outstanding service to all customers, patients, and visitors.
  6. Applies fiscal responsibility when making decisions and performing job duties.
  7. Participates in educational programs and in-service meetings.
  8. Records, documents, and maintains the proper paperwork.
  9. Has a basic understanding for computer technology and can display a proficient use of various software programs.
  10. Displays a working knowledge of building, fire, and safety codes.
  11. Must be able to perform overtime, work weekends and other shifts when needed.
  12. Must be able to perform on-call duties when assigned.
  13. Must display good communication skills, problem solving abilities and be a critical thinker.
  14. May be called upon to operate in a “lead” role for the foreman/supervisor when requested.
  15. This position will provide guidance and training for the Building Craftsman I position on a regular basis.
  16. Performs other related duties as assigned.
 

Qualifications

  • Minimum Experience:
    • 4-7 years
  • Minimum Education:
    • High School or G.E.D.
  • Preferred Courses:
    • Vocational or Technical Schooling
    • Apprentice or Journeyman program certificate
    • Refrigerant Handling Certificate
  • Required Courses:
    • None
  • Physical Demands:
    • Heavy physical effort (50lb max, over 50lbs requires 2-person or mechanical lift.)
    • Frequent prolonged standing/walking
    • Pushes/pulls or moves/lifts heavy equipment/supplies
    • Manual dexterity and mobility
    • Considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching
    • Ability to safely work at heights, from ladders or scaffolding
    • Ability to climb
    • Ability to work in small confined spaces
