General Summary:
Under the general supervision of the Manager-Engineering performs a variety of duties by generating ordering and receiving parts, and documenting these activities in the Maintenance Management System. Maintains a parts inventory and neat and orderly parts room and maintenance shop.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The following are essential job accountabilities:
1 Has ownership and maintains the required department parts inventory. Obtains/issues purchase orders for parts and services. Receives parts from vendors, verifies accuracy, and inputs data into the parts inventory of the maintenance management system. Verifies that invoices reflect the parts or services received. Retrieves and submits records of parts inventory to accounting.
2 Codes and approves invoices as assigned and maintains records of packing slips. Reviews current vendors and sets up new vendors for cost reducing purposes. Is capable of retrieving records of the same and maintains the utility cost records.
3 Receives the previous days work orders, closes and updates work orders into the maintenance management system to maintain equipment, parts and work histories. Creates, schedules and generates scheduled PM work orders. Maintains the life safety PM records.
4 Maintains the records and submits to the borough the annual recycling report. Maintains records of infectious waste required by environmental services. Maintains the records of the departments hazardous chemicals.
5 Receives requests for engineering services via the maintenance management system Web requests, email and phone calls. Creates work orders to accommodate the service requests. Immediately contacts the department manager and foreman of any utility failures or patient care related issues.
6 Maintains a current library of OEM manuals for the departmental equipment.
7 Has ownership of the department staff training records and schedules routine department staff in-services as required.
8 Completes typing of documents such as department meeting minutes, memos, reports, letters, and other documents that support the department.

Required Skills

Minimum Education:   High School or G.E.D.

Minimum Experience:  3 – 5 years

Working Conditions:    High accountability

Skills: Working knowledge of financial and Facility Maintenance terminology; Proficient with Excel, Word, Outlook; Webview 2000 experience helpful; Knowledge of CMMS programs.
