Exercise Specialist - Results Fitness (Chambersburg) - Day/Evening

Job Description:

Under the general supervision of the Director of Fitness and Human Performance, involved in the assessment, training, and teaching of a variety of people who attend Results Fitness Center.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Provides training and assistance to individuals and groups by demonstrating and assisting with a routine of exercises
2. Advises individuals on the correct method of exercising with resistance training equipment, exercise bikes, treadmills and other training and exercise machines
3. Provides instruction in a variety of fitness activities
4. Assists in the cleaning and general maintenance of the center and ensures that equipment is maintained and correctly set up
5. Works on the reception counter to take bookings or provide information about facilities

Qualifications

• Minimum Education:
  • High School graduate or equivalent
• Preferred Experience:
  • Prior experience with exercise.
• Physical Demands:
  • Occasional prolonged standing/walking
  • Lifts, positions, pushes and/or transfers patients
  • Lifts supplies/equipment
  • Occasional reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching
  • Occasional heavy physical effort (lift/carry 26 to 50 lbs)
