Position Summary:

 

General Summary:

 

Under general supervision of the Training Manager, leads and coordinates the Epic team that has specific focus on Physician Training and Support. 

Coordinates all day-to-day management of staff (Physician Training and Support Liaisons) and responsible for performance evaluations, etc.

Program coordination for training processes, schedules, physician initiatives, monthly reporting of outcomes, guides, advises and mentors new staff.

Scope of influence is Enterprise Wide.  

  


Duties and Responsibilities:



1 Coordinates Epic training for a specific area of focus, ensuring adequate staffing, appropriate scheduling and day-to-day support of training team.
2 Functions as an educational consultant to departments, service lines or entities for System-wide or entity-wide initiatives requiring education and training.
3 Supports effective facility management for related training including maintenance of an effective classroom environment and assuring required equipment and materials are available.
4 Collaborates with appropriate Principal Trainers as needed to assure effective classroom training.
5 Conducts Epic classroom training as needed to support the training schedule.
6 Works with the Training Manager to effectively utilize the Credentialed Trainers in support roles throughout the system when the CTs are not conducting classroom training.
7 Acts as Epic Training representative in leadership situations based on assignment or absence of the Training Manager.

Qualifications:

Minimum Education Bachelor's Degree

 

Minimum Experience 5 - 8 years

 

Min Field Of Expertise Background in Adult Learning Theory, Pedagogy, Levels of Evaluation and Instructional Systems Design (ISD). Designed, developed and delivered training for an application. Supervisory or team leadership experience required.

 

Req Cert / Registration Requires credentialing as an Epic Credentialed Trainer within 7 weeks of hire; this includes completion of application training and “train the trainer” course, successful completion of all assessments with a minimum score of 85% and successful presentation of a lesson to a panel of Epic-qualified experts. Failure to obtain the necessary certifications could result in termination.
