WellSpan York Hospital is seeking full time faculty members in Emergency Medicine with unique opportunities in GME, Observation, Research, Ultrasound and Toxicology.


About the Opportunity

  • York Hospital is a Level 1 Trauma Center serving an annual volume of over 80,000+ visits per year
  • The Department of Emergency Medicine currently consists of 30 Faculty, 34 Residents and 2 Ultrasound Fellows
  • Many faculty members receive appointments to Drexel, Penn State or Jefferson Universities
  • A recently completed $50 million renovation project added a new helipad
  • The high tech/state-of-the-art facility now has dedicated treatment areas for rapid care and extended care, behavioral health, pediatric and cardiovascular patients
  • York Hospital recently obtained Comprehensive Stroke Certification
  • The hospital’s home to a top cardiovascular program featuring CT surgery, LVAD and ECMO
  • Sexual Assault Forensic Examiner (SAFE) and Developing Options for Violent Emergencies (DOVE) patient care and education teams are also based at WellSpan York Hospital
  • Support includes lab turnaround in an hour or less, a large hospitalist team to facilitate admissions, two digital imaging exam rooms and two 128 CT Scanners
  • Competitive salary, $20,000 signing bonus and up to $80,000 in student loan repayment
