WellSpan Health, a sophisticated medical community in Central PA, is seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician for Ephrata Community Hospital (ECH) in Northeastern Lancaster County. The ECH Emergency Department team of 11 physicians and 5 advanced practice providers care for over 35,000 patients per year.


About the Practice

  • Must be Board Certified/Eligible in Emergency Medicine
  • Secure employment with a medical group, which employs 1,600+ providers
  • Stable group of EM physicians with many years of experience at ECH
  • Newly renovated, state-of-the-art and efficient 25 bed Emergency Department
  • Focus on patient safety, clinical quality and patient experience
  • Two physicians and two PAs cover the busiest hours
  • 12 hours shifts with equal rotation
  • 24/7 hospitalist group handles admissions
  • ECH is a 125-bed facility featuring an interventional cath lab/PCI Program
  • The hospital is a Primary Stroke Center
  • WellSpan recently transitioned all facilities to EPIC
  • Excellent administrative support including an on-site Medical Director
