Director - Noninvasive Cardiology
Job Description:
Under the general supervision of the Clinical Director-Cardiovascular Operations, plans, organizes, directs and controls the activities and functions of Non-Invasive Heart and Vascular Services at York Hospital and Apple Hill Heart Center, Cardiac Rehab at Apple Hill, Preventive Cardiology and Cardiovascular Applications.
Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Accountabilities:
- Directs and coordinates administrative and technical functions of areas of responsibility (including areas in the hospital and offsite)
- Develops and implements short and long range strategic and operational planning for the department.
- Consults with medical staff and other health care providers on matters relating to departmental functions and/or related services.
- Provides visible leadership and collaborates with clinical areas to incorporate Lean methodology to aspects of the department(s) operations and entities
- Understands and makes recommendations for process improvement related to a variety of complex and detailed workflows.
- Monitors activities of Non-Invasive Cardiology, Cardiac Rehab and Preventive Cardiology, recording and reporting statistical data, including financial data, to determine program/department profitability and identify areas to improve cost per case.
- Leads and manages interdisciplinary special projects associated with the role and/or the Heart and Vascular Service Line at York Hospital, such as Capital Equipment planning with Nuclear Medicine for York Hospital & Apple Hill Advanced Cardiac Imaging systems
- Leads and manages enterprise wide diagnostic equipment standardization of Echocardioogy, of Non-Invasive testing equipment and planning the replacement of all equipment in York and Gettysburg Hospitals and York and Adams County Ambulatory testing sites
- Coordinates departmental databases and reports and ensures that statistical data is maintained for administrative and regulatory purposes

- 3 - 5 years
- Administration or cardiac clinical experience
- Minimum Education:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Preferred Education:
- Master's Degree
- Physical Demands:

- Excellent human relations and oral/written communications skills
