Job Description:
Under the general supervision of the Chief Technology Officer/Senior Director of Technology Services, manages, plans, designs and implements of all aspects of the LAN, WAN, wireless network and telecommunication technology. Responsible for circuit planning and redundancy, network and telecommunication architecture and infrastructure. Maintains existing network infrastructure and telecommunications services while developing roadmap for future with focus on creating high availability with a goal of achieving continuous availability of all critical infrastructure. Work collaboratively with the director of technology services for data center planning.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develops strategic technology plans, enterprise architectures and standards to ensure business/clinical goals. Prioritizes technology initiatives and coordinates the evaluation, deployment and management of current and future technologies. Develops and maintains key components of a rolling three to five year technology plan. Directs research into new and leading edge technologies.
- Designs, builds, tests and implements new technologies and capabilities to meet business and clinical requirements. Performs project management functions and leads diverse technical teams in the provision of new services.
- Provides all sustainment functions to maintain the existing infrastructure to include break/fix, emergency services, engineering support, performance and availability monitoring, capacity and reliability analysis, provisioning and sustainment project planning and execution.
- Develops annual capital and operating budgets for technical infrastructure investments and operational objectives. Develops, tracks and controls portions of the technical services annual operating and capital budgets for purchasing, staffing and operations.
- Directs development and execution of an enterprise-wide disaster recovery and business continuity plan/business impact analysis, with emphasis on highly available, efficient and productive operations.
- Manages vendor relationships to maximize value from strategic partnerships and to efficiently deliver services in non-strategic areas.
- Work collaboratively with IT security to ensure network security, hardware version control and appropriate patching
- Participate in enterprise disaster recovery and business continuity planning
Qualifications

- Minimum Experience:
- 8 - 10 years experience with Network/Telecom/Leadership
- Experience with Project Management and Lean Methodologies
- Minimum Education:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum Field Of Expertise:
- Information services, engineering, computer science or business administration, telecom
- Preferred Education:
- Master’s Degree
