Program Description:

Crisis Bridge is a new program in the State of Pennsylvania that is intended to provide crisis support while an individual awaits entry into an appropriate behavioral health program.  This program allows individuals to wait in the home till the start of inpatient or ambulatory services.  A team of Master's level Counselors and Peer Support Specialists walk alongside the patient; child or adolescent and their families as they navigate entry into the behavioral health system.  The program goal is to provide brief interventions and end support once the patient transitions into their long- term program. 

 

Job Description:

Therapy provided by mental health professional to individuals and families using a specific evidence-based approach which includes, but is not limited to, behavioral therapy, cognitive therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, play therapy, art therapy, interpersonal psychotherapy, PCI (Parent/Child Interaction Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), and Trauma therapy.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  1. Interviews patients and family members to obtain information about home environment, family relationships, health history, and patient's personality traits.
  2. Conducts individual or group therapy sessions. Assesses patients' progress and modifies or extends treatment program accordingly.
  3. Provides therapeutic intervention with patient and family including individual, marital, parental, family and group therapies.
  4. Documents current, accurate observations of care to the patient in appropriate records.
  5. Coordinates care of assigned patients.
  6. Assists in the implementation of education and training experience for interns and other designated students.
 

Qualifications

 

  • Minimum Experience:
    • 6 - 12 months
  • Minimum Education:
    • Master's Degree in psychology, social work or human service related field
