Position Summary:

Community Pharmacy Technician


8 Hour Day/Evening Shifts - No Holidays 


Pharmacy Store Hours

Monday through Friday - 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Saturday - 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. 


**Must be available for all possible shifts & Saturday rotation**



General Summary:


Under the direct supervision of the appropriate supervisor and Pharmacist, fills routine orders for unit doses and prepackaged pharmaceuticals and performs other related duties.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Assists pharmacists as directed including filling orders and preparing labels.
  • Assists patient, taking prescription, necessary information, etc. Operates cash register. Delivers medications as needed.
  • Submits and receives orders from suppliers.
  • Enters and/or retrieves data from established computer files using knowledge of various computer software applications.
Required Skills


  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Post High School Vocational/Specialized Training
  • Completion of Pharmacy Technician Program and/or pharmacy or health care experience (preferred)
  • Basic to intermediate skill set in Microsoft office
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Team player, detail oriented, ability to multi-task
Required Experience


  • Minimum 3 - 6 months pharmacy technician experience
