WellSpan Health, an integrated not-for-profit health system serving the communities of South-Central Pennsylvania and Northern Maryland, is seeking a full-time Nurse-Midwife to join our growing OB/GYN team in Franklin County. The organization consists of a multispecialty medical group of 220 care locations, eight hospitals, and a growing number of academic clinical affiliations. WellSpan Health is a team of 20,000 healthcare professionals committed to transforming the health of the communities we serve and educating medicine's next generation of Physicians, Advanced Practice Providers, and leaders.

About the Opportunity

  • Experienced CNM with OB background preferred
  • Full-time position 1.0 FTE
  • Deliveries at Chambersburg Hospital
  • 24-hour call shift and two outpatient office days per week seeing patients in Waynesboro/Greencastle/Chambersburg/Shippensburg/McConnellsburg
  • Sixty deliveries per month on average
  • Position will take first call (in-house) for both Obstetric and Gynecologic patients with physician backup

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

  • Bachelors Degree Required
  • Masters Degree Preferred

Work Experience:

  • 2 years Relevant experience. Required

Licenses:

  • Licensed Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required or
  • Registered Nurse Multi State License Upon Hire Required and
  • Certified Nurse Midwife Upon Hire Required and
  • Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required

Courses and Training:

  • Appropriate Clinical specialty certification from American Midwifery Certification Board (AMCB). Upon Hire Required and
  • Graduation from an accredited school of Nurse-Midwifery. Upon Hire Required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Considerable degree of independent judgment.
  • Excellent interpersonal/communications skills.
