General Summary:

 

Under the general supervision of the Vice President of Operations WellSpan Ephrata Community Hospital, performs a wide variety of administrative and fiscal functions including, but not limited to, planning, budget and finance, personnel, purchasing and general administrative services, to assist the Office of the President (OOP) in ensuring successful operation of the entity.
 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates administrative and technical functions and activities of the organization.

  • Monitors entity activities, recording and reporting statistical data, including financial data, to determine profitability and to identify areas of improvement.

  • Assists in business assessments of current and new facets of the entity.

  • Collaborates with other System managers in the operation of the entity.

  • Assumes responsibility for costs data preparation, analysis, systems analysis and other fiscally related duties as assigned.

Required Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration or related field
  • Master's Degree (preferred)
  • Knowledge of clinical and/or surgical services (preferred)
  • Strong customer service skills focused on gaining a full understanding of needs, providing quality solutions and follow-up as needed.
  • Excellent written, interpersonal and oral communication skills.  Ability to maintain confidentiality and respond appropriately using tact and good judgement to highly sensitive/confidential matters.
  • Strong technical and advanced computer skills. Must have experience utilizing advanced formulas and functions to produce high level financial reports/spreadsheets.
  • Must be self-directed with critical thinking and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational, project management and analytical skills.  
Required Experience
  • 3 - 5 years of business management experience in a hospital setting strongly preferred.
