General Summary:

Under the general supervision of the Director of Financial Analysis. Will be performing a wide variety of fiscal analysis and business counseling services in support of System operations.  Provides financial leadership and works collaboratively with assigned Medical Group and Service Line leaders.  Provides financial oversight and business counsel to the clinical service line operations which include, but are not limited to, general financial analysis, planning, budgeting, performance improvement, new business or service development feasibility analysis and development of other fiscal management processes to support operations leadership with management of their departments’ fiscal performance.  Contributes to ensuring the overall continued financial success of the System in the continuous pursuit of the fulfillment of its Mission. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  1. Directs and provides financial guidance in support of the business operations and performance management for the Service Lines and Medical Group practices assigned to the position.
  2. Collaborates with Medical Group and Service Line operations leadership in developing and monitoring relevant financial performance metrics and financial data to determine profitability and identify areas for improvement.
  3. Provides financial guidance and support and collaborates with Medical Group and Service Line operations leadership in managing the revenue and expense functions within their areas of responsibility.   Works with other corporate financial service departments and staff to assist with data analysis, reporting, budgeting and in depth analysis of material financial performance variances.     
  4. Collaborates with other department managers in supporting the operations of the Service Lines and Medical Group practices.
  5. As appropriate, works as a team with other Business Managers on financial projects or process improvement initiatives for the organization. 
  6. Supports the Provider Compensation process, in direct coordination with the Provider Compensation Team and Service Line Leadership.  Also includes provider productivity analysis

 

Qualifications:

 

 Note:                          Other combinations of formal education, training and experience may be considered.

 

  Minimum Education       Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance

 

  Preferred Education       Master's Degree or CPA

 

  Minimum Experience     5 years

                                     

  Min Field Of Expertise    Healthcare or business administration; Medical Group Practice knowledge preferred

 

  Skills: Other                 Excellent communication, interpersonal, managerial and computer skills; Able to work well in a team environment as a member and/or leader; Able to accept responsibility; Thorough knowledge of relevant specialty areas; Analytical and logical approach to solving problems
