Full time, day shift, 7am-3:30pm

Position will float between Good Samaritan and York Hospital

 

Job Description:

Under the general supervision, repairs, calibrates, tests and maintains a variety of medical, laboratory or Imaging-related equipment and therapeutic X-ray systems at an advanced specialist skills level. This position supports equipment such as but not limited to: high end imaging equipment, linear accelerators and systems etc.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Oversees the work of other personnel by training, allocating and monitoring work. Performs work of a similar nature.
  2. Performs preventative maintenance inspections and electrical safety testing and corrects problems encountered.
  3. Analyzes supported equipment for cause(s) of failure. Isolates, tests and replaces defective parts.
  4. Uses available test equipment to test functionality of supported equipment. Troubleshoots problems and repairs the equipment.
  5. Makes necessary operational adjustments to supported equipment. Takes sensitivity, selectivity and accuracy measurements.
  6. Responds to emergency calls for supported equipment. Troubleshoots equipment problems and repairs hardware as needed.
  7. Monitors and assists manufacturers as needed to ensure maximum repair efficiency with minimum down time at lowest possible cost.
  8. Orders necessary parts and maintains required inventory.
  9. Interfaces directly with radiologists, technologists, vendor service engineers and vendor sales representatives.
  10. Provides service support for all types of imaging equipment including highly specialized areas such as Computer Tomography, Nuclear Medicine and Cath Lab.
  11. Logs all calls for imaging equipment with Biomed and completes and files all documentation and required BRH reports.
  12. Configures modalities for Dicom store, print, send, MPPS, MWL, and Query/Retrieve as required.
  13. Configures modalities for networking using wireless/hardware connectivity.
  14. Configures, installs and maintains PACS Diagnostic and Clinical workstations.
  15. Troubleshoots connectivity issues with modalities sending to PACS and receiving MWL while working closely with IT and PACS.
  16. Works with IT Security Team (WellSOC) to ensure data security on all devices and modalities that are part of a Biomedical or Imaging System.

    • 6 - 8 years
