Weekdays; daytime hours 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM or 8 AM to 5 PM
No weekends or holidays
The Plain Communities Outpatient Clinic (formerly Green Pasture Outpatient) is a service of Philhaven to the Plain Community. First opened in August of 2005, the clinic provides multiple levels of service to individuals living at the Green Pasture residence and in the community. The clinic provides high quality mental health care that is sensitive to the values of the Plain Community.

Job Description:

Under direct supervision of the Senior Clinic Director, ensures the quality of clinical care being provided by outpatient therapists in assigned clinic. Oversees the implementation of policies and procedures related to clinical care. Assists as needed with program operations, budgeting and supplies management, outcomes and other data collection, the management and oversight of office needs, support needs and client care documentation/medical records. Provides clinical oversight to the clinic/program and to other staff and provides direct care services.


Duties and Responsibilities


  1. Assists in providing clinical training support and education for staff.
  2. Assists in developing training programs designed to address mental health needs.
  3. Provides psychotherapy to patients and their families.
  4. Maintains a high level of clinical productivity of clinicians measured by target revenue goals.
  5. Assists in the orientation of new clinicians and physicians and facilitates their participation in programming and services
  6. Works in collaboration with supervisors to provide specific and targeted clinical supervision to increase staff therapeutic effectiveness.
  7. Assists with development and implementation of program, Performance Initiatives and outcomes.
  8. Assists in monitoring and reviewing charts, ensuring completeness and quality of documentation, as well as ensuring treatment plan addresses all clinical and relevant medical symptoms.
  9. Assists in carrying out preparations for clinical audits and reviews, including those related to the Joint Commission and DHS.
  10. Actively participates and provides feedback for the development and growth of the level of care.
  11. Attends scheduled meetings related to administrative issues or organizational needs. Participates as a member of organizational committees or task groups as needed.
  12. Completes Readiness Rounds and other reports, as assigned, on an ongoing basis.
  13. Closely tracks sessions delivered and sessions authorized to avoid unauthorized services being delivered. Obtains reauthorizations when needed.
  14. Performs annual evaluations and competency assessments of staff in accordance to policy and supports ongoing development and education of staff.
  15. Responds to complaints and grievances to ensure high quality of customer service.
  16. Assists in interviewing, hiring, and promotions for staff, as available.
  17. Participates in targeted community outreach related to the development and/or ongoing functioning of new programs as needed.
  18. Works with assigned staff to develop programming to respond to opportunities to provide services as requested.
  19. Provides and/or coordinates the provision of new services including group, individual, and family therapy as well as needed case management per Best Practices standards.





  • Minimum Experience:
    • 2 years’ clinical experience working with the full range of ages and diagnoses
  • Minimum Education:
    • Master’s Degree
  • Required Licensure:
    • LCSW, LPC or LMFT
  • Skills:
    • Excellent interpersonal/communications skills to build working alliance, empathize with, and respond to referral sources, patients, their families, and co-workers; ability to teach staff evidenced based skills; ability to write training curriculums and assist with other administrative tasks; analytical ability necessary to manage several tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced mental health environment
