Bariatric Surgeon- York

Wellspan Health, a sophisticated medical community in southcentral Pennsylvania, is seeking a full-time Bariatric Surgeon to join a well-established group. This is an opportunity to join a mature medical group employing 2,000+ providers.
Position details:
- Full time, employed position
- Board certified/eligible in General Surgery w/ a fellowship in Bariatric Surgery
- Experience in a range of bariatric procedures including gastric by-pass
- Applicants will be asked to provide their operative log
- Ability to perform therapeutic upper endoscopy is preferred
- This collegial group is comprised of three surgeons
- Call is 1:3 and is taken from home
- 400+ surgeries performed per year at the 600-bed York Hospital (YH)
- YH is an accredited MBSAQIP Comprehensive Center
- It’s also a Blue Distinction Center for Excellence in Bariatric Surgery
- The 25+ member team is headquartered in a newly renovated office
- Comprehensive program including IM, pulm, behavioral health & cardiology
- Dieticians, social workers & fitness professionals support the team
