WellSpan Health, a sophisticated medical community in south central Pennsylvania, is seeking a full-time Bariatric/General Surgeon to join a well-established, growing practice with an extensive referral base.  This is an opportunity to join a mature, physician-led medical group employing 1,500 providers.

Position details:

  • Fulltime employed position
  • Must be board certified in General Surgery and fellowship trained in Bariatric Surgery
  • The successful candidate will be experienced in a range of bariatric procedures including gastric by-pass
  • Applicants will be asked to provide their operative log
  • Ability to perform therapeutic upper endoscopy is preferred
  • Collegial group is comprised of 4 Surgeons; 2 Bariatric/General and 2 General Surgeons
  • General Surgery call is 1:4
  • Surgeries performed at Ephrata Community Hospital
  • The physicians are part of a dynamic multidisciplinary Surgical Weight Loss team
  • The team is led by an experienced Director of Bariatric Surgery and Medical Weight Management
  • Established Robotic Surgery Program
  • Comprehensive program including internal medicine, pulmonary, behavioral health and cardiology
  • Registered dieticians, licensed social workers, fitness professionals and a clinical data reviewer support the team
