Advanced Nurse Practitioner Coordinator

WellSpan Health, an integrated not-for-profit health system serving the communities of South-Central Pennsylvania and Northern Maryland, is seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Provider Coordinator to join our growing Cardiology team in Gettysburg, PA. The organization consists of a multispecialty medical group of 220 care locations, eight hospitals, and a growing number of academic clinical affiliations. WellSpan Health is a team of 20,000 healthcare professionals committed to transforming the health of the communities we serve and educating medicine's next generation of physicians, advanced practice providers and leaders.

About the Position

  • Full-time position with dynamic group; Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with cardiology experience preferred
  • Position is a combination of both inpatient and outpatient, dedicated to Cardiology as well as non-clinical time to support the program growth.
    • Attendance/facilitation/presenting service line meetings (local and system)
    • Provider case reviews for mortality, readmissions and quality
    • Outpatient/office Performance Improvement 
    • Thinks system and delivers locally – tunes into best practices across the system and adopts initiatives to support strategic initiatives and ensures guideline directed care
    • Understands key metrics and helps drive to targets (improvement)
  • Social services outreach, patient education, and representing the Cardiology clinic/program in Gettysburg
  • Position will also have responsibility of local program growth, engagement in strategic initiatives, utilize lean thinking and team building, and involvement in system-wide Cardiology efforts.

Quality of Life

Established in 1800, Adams County includes the borough of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. Home to more than 100,000 residents, the town is a mecca for Civil War history buffs and visitors who come to tour the Gettysburg National Battlefield and Gettysburg National Military Park and see the annual Civil War reenactment.

Also located here is Gettysburg College, which has a strong academic reputation in liberal arts. The county is steeped in heritage, and offers a peaceful, country atmosphere, yet is a convenient drive to Washington, D.C., Baltimore, MD and Harrisburg, PA.
