Faculty - Internal Medicine Residency Program

Academic Hospitalist with a strong interest in medical education to join the faculty for the York Hospital Internal Medicine residency program. Consistently recognized as one of the nation's 100 Top Hospitals for teaching and community hospitals, our successes have enabled us to attract a clinically-focused faculty who are passionately devoted to the education and development of young physicians.

About the Position

  • Core Faculty position involves 100% resident and student teaching in an inpatient setting
  • Duties include inpatient clinical supervision, curriculum development, quality improvement, medical simulation and mentoring residents
  • Must be ABIM certified or eligible
  • Outstanding schedule with protected administrative time
  • Enjoy secure employment with a large health system that is comprised of a multispecialty medical group with more than 2000 providers and eight respected hospitals
  • Academic appointments are available through affiliations with area universities
  • No grant funding or research required

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) Required or
  • Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) Required

Work Experience:

  • Previous clinical teaching responsibilities. Preferred

Licenses:

  • Licensed Medical Physician and Surgeon Upon Hire Required or
  • Licensed Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Upon Hire Required

Courses and Training:

  • Diplomate of a specialty appropriate Board. Upon Hire Required and
  • Completion of a specialty appropriate residency. Upon Hire Required and
  • Must qualify and be a member of the Medical Staff of York or Gettysburg Hospital. Upon Hire Required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Teaching skills.
