Position Summary:

General Summary:

The ABA Case Manager provides administrative support to the IBHS program

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Assists with the implementation of Act 62 by learning about private insurance requirements and ensuring our program is meeting all requirements

2. Verifies insurance eligibility.

3. Communication with parents/guardians, insurance companies, county agencies, schools, and other professionals as needed. 

4. Completes necessary documentation and data tracking through Excel and other programs.

5. Schedules appointments for patients, psychologists, and program director.

6. Completes and compiles necessary information to generate funding packet for each patient receiving IBHS.

7. Tracks/monitors funding expirations, authorizations, and other relevant data points.

8. Problem solves and seeks resolution surrounding billing issues with assistance of WellSpan Philhaven MA biller and case manager coordinator. 

9. Tracks admission status/change in authorized hours/discharges to efficiently assign patients and inform staff of changes.

10. Compiles caseload information to distribute to staff. 

11. Maintains accurate status report including patient name, hours authorized, expiration date of authorization, expiration date of authorization and waiting list.

12. Adheres/enforces policies and procedures and/or charges to existing program and ensures proper implementation.

13. Assists with the auditing and maintenance of electronic health records to meet the requirements of regulatory agencies.
